Prep Cook / Dishwasher (Full-Time)

Santiago’s Cuban Cuisine – Burlington, VT
Pay: $21+/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Santiago’s Cuban Cuisine is looking for a reliable, hardworking Prep Cook who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and be a key part of the kitchen team. This role is essential to keeping our operation running smoothly—from prep to service to clean down.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and food items for daily service (cutting, portioning, batching recipes)

  • Assist with light cooking and execute dishes during lunch service as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift

  • Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment consistently and efficiently

  • Deep clean fryers at least once per week

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

  • Support the kitchen team wherever needed—this is a team-first environment

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Strong work ethic and reliability—show up ready to work

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods

  • Kitchen experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate

  • Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required
