Inclusion and Non-Discrimination Statement (credit: Radical Healing)
Systems of power, privilege, and oppression have traditionally created barriers for persons and groups with particular identities, ages, abilities, and histories. We pledge to do all we can to replace such barriers with ever-widening circles of solidarity and mutual respect. We strive to be a center for health and healing that truly welcomes all persons and commits to structuring our work in ways that empower and enhance everyone’s participation.
We intentionally welcome all. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with each other. We value the diversity of differences which includes (but is not limited to) gender identity and its expression, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, financial means, family structure, educational and class status and political perspective.

Our clients and patients are from the communities we come from: LGBTQIA2+, neurodiverse, Bodies of Culture (BIPOC), big bodies, children, families of all configurations. Because we serve our own communities, the care we provide is largely affinity-based, inherently intersectional, and aspires to be deeply consensual and honoring everyone's inherent dignity.
On a staff level, we have transparent pay scales and raise criteria and timelines. We do not have a dress code nor do we equate White beauty standards nor speech norms with professionalism nor competence. We have a 4-step reconciliation process laid-out in our Staff Handbook that takes racialized harms into account. Our staff are allowed to take PTO for their holidays, as opposed to colonizer holidays.
One of our annual raise criteria is an active unlearning racism/somatic abolitionism (a la Resmaa Menakem) practice exemplified by attendance with the whole team of Resmaa Menakem's Somatic Liberation workshop at Omega OR a group-based unlearning group.
Our team is in ongoing training for somatic trauma transformation with MawuLisa Adeyemo-Thomas who brings her own flavor of Generative Somatics to bear. Generative Somatics is a politicized somatics lineage.
