Employer's Approach to Diversity, Equity, & Belonging

HomeShare Vermont just completed the final phase of a three year long equity audit. Based on the results presented to us by outside consultants we have a variety of small action steps to take towards our goal of a more representative applicant pool for our program, many of which we've already begun over the past few years.

They include building and maintaining skills within our team by enshrining a regular equity centered training for new employees, continuing to strengthen connections across a variety of community centered organizations, demonstrating trust (through presence, outreach and marketing) and building some infrastructure (for example translation capacity.)

Employees are encouraged to spend paid hours attending VTPoC events.
