About the Job

Lead the continued growth and impact of this 40-year-old parent child center providing comprehensive services that empower and strengthen individuals and families.

Serving as the chief executive of the Milton Family Community Center (MFCC), the E.D. is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission, driving strategic direction, and ensuring long-term sustainability. They also foster a supportive and engaging workplace culture and oversee all of MFCC’s programming. Current community programs include early childcare, Child and Adult Care Food Program, mentoring, afterschool services, the food shelf, home visits, Planned Approach to Community Health (PATCH), playgroup, parent support groups, and the farmer’s market.

MFCC takes a holistic approach to supporting families by providing wrap-around services and community connection that provides support and continuity to families so they can thrive. MFCC’s dedicated staff use a value-based approach to their work, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Working in partnership with the Board, staff, families, and community partners, the E.D. ensures MFCC operates with program excellence, financial stewardship, and in full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. Learn about MFCC here.

  • Guiding the organization’s direction and growth and empowering program leads to achieve program excellence, compliance, and impact
  • Ensuring a safe, welcoming, orderly, and well-maintained environment and programming for children, families, staff, and visitors
  • Engaging with funders, community members, government entities, and external partners
  • Strengthening the financial sustainability and operations of the organization
  • Deepening relationships within and outside the community to boost visibility and understanding of MFCC’s important work

Summary of Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and/or certification in early childhood education or another related field plus 5+ years’ organizational or departmental leadership in a community service focused setting. Experience with educational programming, licensed childcare, family services, or other related programs preferred.

Wage or Salary
The hiring range is $85,000.00 – 105,000.00.
