Employer's Approach to Diversity, Equity, & Belonging

In the past year, the Vermont Arts Council’s staff participated in trainings with Vermont’s Office of Racial Equity, completed an accessibility audit of our website, and completed a new employee handbook grounded in best practices for an inclusive and equitable workplace.
Our 2025-2030 strategic plan articulates our commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility and outlines many other action steps still in progress, including our ongoing work to deepen relationships with organizations that serve underrepresented and historically marginalized Vermonters to share resources and co-create opportunities to support the diverse creative communities of Vermont.
