Organization Description
The Vermont Women's Fund is a philanthropic resource dedicated to advancing gender equity and justice in Vermont. We are a component fund of the Vermont Community Foundation. The Vermont Women's Fund council determines our annual grant process - distributing funds of $300,000+ - to nonprofit organizations that provide essential services, and career training and opportunities for women and girls. We also support organizations that seek to challenge root causes of inequity and revolutionize systems of oppression.
Organization's Approach to Diversity, Equity, Belonging, & Inclusion

We invite council members who identify as women and are inclusive of cis and trans women, as well as non- binary people affected by gender oppression. Moreover, we recognize the disproportionate marginalization of the voices of BIPOC individuals in Vermont. We have a fully transparent, public process when seeking new council members from across the state, and orientation of new members includes bias training. Our stated values are shared power, revolutionizing systems, and equity for all. We work very hard to keep those values at the forefront of our work.
