The Vermont Professionals of Color Network has created a survey to better serve BIPOC Vermonters.
Launched May 1, the 15-minute BIPOC Community Survey aims to understand the realities of being Black, Indigenous or a Vermonter of color. Participants answer questions about daily life, economic opportunities and community support, and can win a $100 gift card to a local BIPOC-owned business.
VTPOC says they will use the data to design listening sessions for BIPOC Vermonters. They’ll also share the data with Vermont leaders in hopes of creating better statewide support.
“We wanted to make sure that we understood the community in full,” explained Weiwei Wang, the executive director of VTPOC. “What does the community really look like? Who are we? What are the opportunities and challenges for professionals?”
VTPOC invites any BIPOC Vermonter to fill out the survey by July 31.
