Jasmine Perez
Jasmine Perez (she/her) is a first-generation Filipino-American who was born and raised in Northern NJ. Currently, she is an undergraduate student at The University of Vermont double majoring in Environmental Studies and Political Science.
Her undergrad experience led her to work with The Vermont Professionals of Color Network, where she works as an Events Intern, helping to curate and host events centered around BIPOC Outdoor Affinity. This project was largely inspired by Jasmine’s experience having lived in an urban environment her whole life, and how upon moving to Vermont, she observed how there were several barriers to access when it came to the outdoors, especially for communities of color.
Looking forward, Jasmine hopes to continue her studies at UVM while continuing her work with VT PoC. Outside of school and work, Jasmine enjoys exploring natural landscapes, creating art through drawing and painting, as well as trying out new recipes to cook and share.
