New Year, New Gains!
The VT Professionals of Color is excited to share that the organization received grants from The Northfield Savings Bank Foundation and Vermont Community Foundation.
This month, the VT PoC board has been hard at work building our website: www.VTPoC.net. At the site, you can get a better insight into our vision for the Network, learn more about the team behind the scenes, the programs we’re working on, and our newsletters.
Born and raised in NYC, Isora Lithgow owns and operates Isora Lithgow Creations LLC. After spending a summer in VT with The Nature Conservancy’s LEAF Program and visiting UVM through her high school, she selected UVM and now feels, to some extent, that this is her second home base. Her foray into photography began in NYC, where she was part of the NYC Salt Photography Program that led to photography shows, scholarship, and even sales of her work.
We asked her about her experience as an BIPOC entrepreneur in Vermont.
The last few months have been challenging: the pandemic, the racial and political unrest and the economic downturn, making these truly “unprecedented times”. The VT PoC and the BIPOC community it serves has not been spared.
