JOB DUTIES:

The Vermont Healthcare Service Specialist II (VHSSII) determines applicant eligibility for Vermont’s health care programs including Medicaid, Dr. Dynasaur, Healthy Vermonters, VPHARM, and Vermont Health Connect. The VHSSII reviews and enters applications for Vermont’s health care programs to determine eligibility and complete enrollment and plan selection and processes changes with extreme attention to detail to ensure accurate processing. The VHSII regularly processes work in each of the health care programs/subprograms.
The majority of VHSSII work is processed on the phone with customer calls.

The Healthcare Services Specialist II role has the following responsibilities:

· Researching and resolving discrepancies in healthcare profiles.
· Reviews and enters applications and life changes with accurate eligibility.
· Can work multiple work buckets.
· Subsidy, Coverage Dates and Eligibility Discrepancies.
· Reconciliation of the different systems to ensure all data aligns with the health exchange and our
carrier partners.
· Handles a high call volume of customers needs.
· Provides excellent customer service
