Employer's Approach to Diversity, Equity, & Belonging

The Vermont Network works toward this purpose: a world free from oppression where everyone can thrive. We understand that oppression creates and maintains gender based violence, and that racial justice is central to uprooting the causes of violence.
The Vermont Network strives to build a diverse and inclusive community. We believe that in order to change the way communities think about and address domestic and sexual violence, we as an organization must honor the cultures, beliefs, and values of those we serve, and to foster and environment of mutual respect, acceptance and equitable opportunity. We demonstrate our commitment to racial equity through our partnerships, modeling anti-racism practices to our member organizations, and offering opportunities for training and education in racial equity. We use a racial equity lens in organizational and project planning, and when developing internal policies or reexamining existing policies. We are committed to building and maintaining a multicultural and diverse work environment which reflects diversity that exists among the people of Vermont.
The Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, ability, or national origin.
