- 32 – 40 hrs / week from May – December
- Must have availability Thursday – Monday for shifts from 11:30 am – 8 pm
- Must have additional availability to work two Friday evenings per month (minimum) until approximately 10 pm
Pay:
$20 – $22 / hr plus a percentage of gratuities

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced manager to oversee operations and staff in our winery Tasting Room just outside of beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role and be part of the emerging Vermont wine region.
Nestled next to the vines, this idyllic spot has enormous potential as a showcase location for our Vermont-made wines & ciders. The right candidate will be motivated, experienced, creative, and accountable. We’re looking for someone with big ideas and the ability to make them happen!

The Lincoln Peak Tasting Room Manager will report to the CEO and will be a key member of the company’s leadership team.
5+ years experience managing restaurants and/or bars is preferred
Must have the proven ability to work efficiently and independently
Must demonstrate professional courtesy and a welcoming, friendly attitude towards all customers. The ability to manage conflict in a positive manner is key.
Job duties include:
- Scheduling and overseeing 1-3 staff members each day
- Managing all day-to-day Tasting Room operations
- Serving and educating customers
- Monitoring inventory and tracking profitability
- Participating in the planning and execution of strategic growth plans for the Lincoln Peak Tasting Room with the Shelburne Vineyard leadership team
- Networking with the Middlebury and Bristol communities, building and strengthening relationships
- Participating in the planning of evening events (public concerts and potentially private events such as bridal showers and weddings), and providing on-site management during these events (generally on Friday and/or Saturday evenings)
Must be 21+ to apply
Experience using Resy and/or the Square POS system is helpful but not required
A passion for and knowledge of wine is a big plus; knowledge of Vermont wine is a huge plus!
Gratuities are pooled and divided amongst staff working during a particular shift, and the Tasting Room Manager would be entitled to a portion of these tips.
