Passionate about community engagement, affordable housing, or improving the lives of Vermonters?  Join VHCB AmeriCorps to make a difference.  Positions available in Central Vermont include:

  • Outreach and Service Member at the Central Vermont Council on Aging – reimagine and build partnerships with community members and organizations to create a local network of direct support services for older Vermonters.
  • Homelessness Services Liaison at the Good Samaritan Haven – Join the team at the Good Samaritan Haven as they expand services to support individuals experiencing homelessness in safe and innovative ways!
  • Aging in Place Coordinator at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center (MSAC) – Promote healthy aging in place while serving at one of Vermont’s most dynamic and vibrant activity centers for older adults.
  • Community Energy Coordinator at the Vermont Natural Resources Council – Help communities across Vermont play a locally-led, leadership role in meeting the state’s comprehensive energy and climate targets.

In exchange for your service, you will: Receive a $15/hour living allowance; Plus a $6,495 education award; Health care coverage; and Training, networking, experience, support and resources for employment in the housing field.

AmeriCorps Members have access to a JEDI resource list which they can access using paid time for self-learning. The program provides antiracist trainings on an annual basis.

Wage or Salary
$25,500 for 11 months of service (=$15/hour)
