VSAC is seeking a talented full-time Executive Office Manager/Executive Assistant at our Winooski office. This position will closely support the executive team by overseeing the executive office’s day-to-day operations and administrative activities. The Executive Office Manager will manage various special projects and executive office budgets, act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications and work on priority initiatives set by the executives.
At Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), we’re all about the mission. Help us fulfill our vision of providing all Vermont students with information and financial resources to reach their educational goals. Our work often focuses on the people in our communities who need additional support and information to attain their goals, including members of historically marginalized groups.
The ideal candidate will have five years’ executive office management experience; strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work independently, multitask, exercise judgment and initiative, set priorities, and carry out complex oral and written instructions. Candidates with a BA are preferred but comparable life experience will also be considered.
VSAC offers a dynamic, professional environment with competitive compensation and a generous benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, prescription drug and retirement plans, tuition assistance, an onsite fitness center, and a hybrid work schedule.
While not the only source of inequality, we know that education lies at the heart of ensuring social and economic opportunity in our society. Justice and opportunity cannot be equally distributed if educational opportunity is denied to any of our fellow Vermonters.
VSAC is committed to improving our own knowledge and reviewing our systems with the goal of removing any unintentional roadblocks they present to people of color. While we know we must do our own work, we are also committed to deeply listening to the BIPOC members of our community and working with them to ensure that our programs and services create rather than deny opportunity.
Our vision: that through our work and our partnership with other organizations, all members of our community, particularly those for whom opportunity has been denied, will be able to obtain the education they need to fulfill their dreams.
