About Sterling College:

Position Overview:

As the Residential Life Coordinator, you will be a pivotal force in shaping an inclusive, engaged and vibrant campus environment. Reporting to the Dean of Community, this full-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to various student engagement and retention initiatives, emergency responses, and community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage housing assignments for each block, semester, and special sessions.
  • Serves as an advocate for the student body and a liaison with stakeholders of the College.
  • Maintains an active, engaging, and supportive presence on campus.
  • Supports all community programming. Occasionally responsible for the student life calendar of activities (planning, etc).
  • Provides administrative, programmatic, and emergency support to the Dean of Community.
  • Participate in campus crisis response and on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year direct experience working in student life or youth-facing settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in and support a collaborative team.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to remain clear-headed in crisis.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attentiveness to details and ability to work under deadlines and at a fast pace.
