About the Job

The Vermont Department of Public Safety (DPS) has an opening for an Accounting & Audit Analyst. You will perform training and financial monitoring to assist our state and federal grant recipients. Duties will include reviews of report submissions and single audit requirements, and may include internal auditing activities. Candidates should have strong analytical and communication skills, be able to work independently and as a team, and the ability to work on multiple activities. This position requires considerable research and review of program and financial compliance standards.

This is a full-time position with the DPS Finance section. Most of the Finance section works remotely and teleworking is an option for this position. The selected candidate will be responsible for independently conducting and completing all audit assignments and presenting to the Audit Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft excel, have excellent communication and analytical skills, and be capable of working independently with minor supervision. Wage or Salary
This position has the starting salary of $30.38 with an increase after six months.
