The Unemployment Insurance (UI) Division’s mission is to provide short-term replacement of lost wages to individuals who are unemployed through no fault of their own. The Program Integrity Unit is responsible for detecting and investigating fraudulent unemployment insurance claims, overpaid benefits, recovering overpaid benefits and/or unpaid tax contributions, and reducing improper payments. This unit works closely together as a team to maintain the integrity of UI program, and to ensure that benefits being paid to individuals and charges billed to employers are accurate. Positions in the unit work on-site at the Department’s Central Office in Montpelier. Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:45AM to 4:30PM.
Hourly rates within the Classified Bargaining Unit Pay Plan will change effective July 3, 2022. At that time, the starting rate (Step 1) for this job opening will be $21.10 per hour.
