About the Job

The Production Technician is a support role to the video production process at all stages of content creation. The Production Technician works closely with managers, producers, videographers, and editors to help the team complete and deliver content on time and up to standard. Projects include, but are not limited to, broadcast programs, digital content, fundraising, and promotions. Requires familiarity with the most popular digital video formats as well as possessing an understanding of digital acquisition and delivery (web and other media). Experience with post-production/non-linear editing is required. A solid understanding of digital video camera use, proper handling, and technology is expected. A basic understanding of sound acquisition, lighting, and broadcast TV systems is desirable.

Who Should Apply?
College degree preferred as well as two or more years in television, cable, agency, and/or production company*. Excellent attention to detail. Technical competency in operating computers, and video production equipment, including, but not limited to video cameras, lighting, audio, and non-linear editing. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn new skills quickly and employ them. The ability to adapt to change and stay calm under pressure.*Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education will be considered.

Details:
This is a full-time non-exempt Bargaining Unit position. Compensation starts at $20.80, commensurate based on experience; with an average of 40 hours per week.
