Media Factory invites people interested in the media industry to apply for our Media Factory 360 Internship Program. The 10 week paid internship introduces those interested in a career in media to a full-circle view of the jobs that make a community media center operate, while also completing a personal portfolio project.
What to Expect:

  1. Weekly meetings with the internship team.
  2. A rotation through production, education, marketing, and distribution departments to shadow, support, and learn. This may include:
    1. A shift working with a Production Technician to support community producers.
    2. The opportunity to assist on a production team in the field.
    3. Assisting the education staff to conduct a workshop.
    4. Creating a blog post or social media campaign.
    5. Learning about equipment repair and maintenance.
    6. Interviewing a radio programmer.
    7. Creating a playlist of curated content for the website.
  3. Additional time with staff in the department of your interest.
  4. Time to work independently on your own project.

Time and Compensation:

10 hours per week for 10 weeks at $15/hr

Wage or Salary
