The Outreach Coordinator will join the Access & Resource Center team to identify barriers to the judicial system, develop resources to remove or reduce barriers, and to promote resources to court users and to internal and external partners. The ARC will provide virtual and in-person services including:
- help navigating the judicial system without an attorney;
- information about court forms and processes;
- referrals to legal services and language access services.
This is a full-time, limited-service opening in the Access & Resource Center in Burlington, Vermont. Starting salary is $21.64 per hour with full State of Vermont employee benefits. The limited-service term will end 6/30/2023.
The ideal candidate will bring a high level of professionalism and confidentially. Exceptional administrative/ clerical skills and the ability to provide accurate information is critical. It is a fast-paced and challenging environment that requires teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication skills. Experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on positive, empathetic, and professional attitude is preferred. Preference given to experience working with people from diverse economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds who may be in crisis or under stress.
Associate’s degree AND three (3) years or more of experience in directly related customer service, additional college education may be substituted on a 6-months for semester basis;
High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of experience in directly related customer service.
