The Judicial Assistant Intern will work with the team to provide specialized customer support, clerical and data entry work involving one or more docket areas within a court’s jurisdiction. The work is moderately complex and requires application of legal practices and procedures and strong computer skills. It is a fast-paced and challenging environment and requires the ability to professionally interact with both co-workers and the public.

The internship program provides students with an opportunity to use their skills and knowledge in a practical setting for professional experience and to showcase the career opportunities available in the Judiciary. This is a 10-week, summer internship program and interns will be located at various courts in the state. We will work with candidates to identify the court location closest to their home. Salary is $20 per hour.

This is a great opportunity for a current college student pursuing a degree in the areas of criminal justice, political science, government or law to gain practical experience in a court setting. We are focused on candidates with administrative, clerical and customer service experience who are looking to learn more about the judicial system in Vermont.

Minimum Requirements for Judicial Assistant Intern:

High School graduation or equivalent
College students who have completed their Sophomore year (rising Juniors and Seniors)
