The HVAC Technician performs duties peculiar to, and normally required in the trade of Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning, following recognized procedures and techniques for such work. The HVAC Technician works with minimum supervision under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities and assists the maintenance team as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoots malfunctioning heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Performs scheduled maintenance inspections.
Makes necessary repairs.

Requirements:

5 years experience. Trade or vocational school a plus.
Appropriate licenses, certificates, or advanced training.
Familiarity with automated DDC systems.
An approved apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training.
Vermont Drivers License with no DUI and not more than 3 points in the last two years.
Near-visual acuity is required to read equipment diagrams and inspect parts.
Depth perception, field of vision, and color vision are necessary for fitting and installing parts.
Familiar with laws, regulations, and codes governing electrical and HVAC in Vermont.
