In June 2020, CCRPC released a commitment to equity (https://conta.cc/31PrsId) that outlined tasks we would take as individuals and organizationally to address the systemic racism and inequities in our community. Since then, we have hired an equity consultant (The Creative Discourse Group) to conduct trainings and other learning opportunities for staff and Board members; assist in equitable hiring practices; and perform an organizational equity assessment that analyzed current policies and procedures through the lens of equity. This resulted in a report which outlined a number of recommended action items and next steps. The report and other materials relating to our current efforts can be viewed at: https://www.ccrpcvt.org/racial-equity/
