Food Sourcing Specialist
The Vermont Foodbank is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative person for the Food Sourcing Specialist position. This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational assistance to the Director of Food Resources and to food sourcing efforts in support of VF’s Operations Department. This applicant must have strong organizational skills, language skills, and computer skills. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of food industry-related experience and/or 3-5 years of customer service-related experience. The individual who fills this position will also be working closely with Operations staff at all three locations.
The selected candidate will join an energetic, empowered, collaborative team that derives joy from the work and is wholly dedicated to VF’s mission. This is a hybrid position in which ideal candidates would be based out of our Barre location. However, consideration will be given to all candidates that are located within driving distance of our other 2 office locations (Brattleboro, Rutland). All candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently to any of our office locations based on the needs of the position. This position may require some nights, weekends, and in-state travel.
