The Marketing Manager for the Department of Liquor and Lottery (DLL) is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans and advertising campaigns across multiple media including web, social media, print, radio, and television. The position plans, manages, and administers a comprehensive marketing program for the Department, including Vermont Lottery and the 802Spirits retail operations. Duties include:
Oversee editorial content for the 802Spirits magazine.
Develop and manages a large advertising budget and negotiates with advertising agencies to create media for use in promotions.
Develop and oversees the design of the consumer-facing lottery and liquor websites.
Oversee the social media presence and activities. Develops and implements promotional events at agents and other locations.
Supervise web marketing coordinator.
The Department participates in the State of Vermont equity group for resources and regularly connects with the Office or Racial Equity for best practices. We have recently proposed a change to our regulations to omit the English-language requirement of licensees. We have engaged in diversity and cultural awareness training for managers/directors.
