About the Job

Help connect UVM students and alums to rich opportunities, diverse networks, and valuable resources in service to our mission to advance the career readiness of all graduates. As a member of the External Relations (ER) team, reporting directly to the Assistant Director for ER, this position works closely with the Employer Partner Program Manager and the Internship Coordinator to build bridges to “real world” experiences which help prepare graduates to be curious, courageous, and confident in their post-graduate pursuits.

Play a critical role in increasing equitable access to resume-building experiences for all students. Directly influence employer engagement through frontline service to a range of clients accessing an array of resources in a welcoming environment for all. Manage employer activities outside the Employer Partner Program and provide administrative & logistical support to Career Center events. Offer operational support to the ER team and for general office functions.

Like all staff, work diligently to create an inclusive environment in keeping with the mission and values of the department, division, and the university.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associate’s degree and one to three years of related experience are required. Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is required. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a team member and engage positively and effectively with persons with diverse identities required. Ability to effectively and efficiently assist clients and stakeholders, online and in person, required. Demonstrated commitment to multicultural competence and to fostering a collaborative environment required.

Special Conditions

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position.

Wage or Salary
Non-exempt hourly range: $20-24 per hour
