Reporting to the Assistant Director for Campus Event Services, this position requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience. Administer and coordinate scheduling of University space, services and equipment requested by University affiliated groups or eligible external groups. Determine appropriate eligibility by interpretation of University policies and provide consultation to ensure all needs of sponsoring groups are met. Recommend, create and modify central scheduling processes including modification of the scheduling software structure as needed. Analyze and report on utilization of spaces used for events. Operate university vehicle to transport event management materials and equipment. This position works alongside a second Event & Scheduling Coordinator and provides functional supervision, training and support to a team of 2-6 student scheduling staff. This is a non-exempt union represented position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and three years of customer service, hospitality or conference/event related experience; computer experience with demonstrated understanding of space scheduling, financial, database and other software applications; effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills; experience working effectively in teams and independently; a valid driver’s license to operate University vehicles; ability and willingness to work within flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends; and demonstrated ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience working in higher education and familiarity with campus space scheduling software desirable.
