About Sterling College:

Position Overview:

As the Director of Residential Life, you will be a pivotal force in shaping an inclusive and vibrant campus environment. Reporting to the Dean of Community, this full-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to various student engagement and retention initiatives, emergency responses, and community-based programs. You will live on or near the Sterling campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage housing assignments for each block, semester, and special sessions.
  • Serve as an advocate for the student body and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute the student life calendar, supporting all community-based activities.
  • Participate in campus crisis response and on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree in related field.
  • One to three years of experience providing direction and leadership in a setting educating or serving young adults, marginalized people or students.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student or youth development.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to remain clear-headed in crisis.
  • Strong conflict transformation and mediation skills.

$50,000-$55,000
