About the Job

The Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) is recruiting for a key leadership position within the department. The Director of Member and Provider Services manages a team of twenty-one professionals with a variety of responsibilities including Medicaid provider and member relations, coordination of benefits, and oversight of the non-emergency transportation program. The Director is responsible for managing and maintaining all activities necessary to develop and sustain DVHA’s relationships with the provider community, enrolled members, and key vendors like Gainwell (claims processor) and Maximus (member call center). This position helps to provide guidance and support to the Commissioner’s office regarding specific member and provider issues that have been brought to the Governor’s office, legislators, or other state agencies and departments. This position is often called upon to resolve complex and time-sensitive issues that require immediate action to ensure Vermonters get the care they need in critical moments. This position requires excellent leadership and communication skills to work as part of cross-disciplinary teams.

Wage or Salary
Starting wage is $39.07/hr which may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
