About the Job

The Director of Engineering is responsible for keeping Vermont Public’s studios, transmission facilities, and streaming equipment in a state of readiness to produce and deliver our content. This work is largely accomplished through the supervision of radio, TV, and transmission engineers. While this position is largely managerial in nature, some hands-on work may be required.

Formal technical training and at least 7 years of relevant experience in all aspects of radio and television studio and transmission engineering required. Knowledge of computer networks, servers, and workstations and SBE or other comparable industry certification, as well as prior supervisory experience is preferred.

This is a full-time salary-exempt position; compensation ranges from $79,100 – $93,100 annually, commensurate with experience and education related to the role.
