Position Overview:

The Director of Advancement Services is an on-site role—with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement for the right candidate—combines administrative and fundraising responsibilities, aiming to achieve annual fundraising goals and improve operational efficiency. As a key member of our Advancement team, you will help steward existing relationships and cultivate new ones to meet our annual operating and restricted program revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in Raiser’s Edge software, while leading improvements in system efficiency.
  • Oversee daily gift entry and track donation progress.
  • Generate queries and reports related to gifts and constituents.
  • Support the Business Office in monthly revenue account reconciliation.
  • Ensure solicitation compliance and adherence to the Donor Bill of Rights.
  • Maintain and cultivate a portfolio of donors.

Required Qualifications

  • Commitment to Sterling’s mission.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational, financial, and statistical record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and deadline-driven work.
