Vermont Public is seeking a sharp, talented journalist to join our digital news team.
On a given day, someone in this role might repackage a broadcast segment into an explainer web post or TikTok (or both); make photographs, info-graphics, collages and other visuals; write and edit web, social media and newsletter copy using AP style (plus come up with catchy headlines); and teach colleagues how they, too, might incorporate these tools into their reporting.
Strong news judgment, a commitment to journalistic ethics and attention to detail are keys to success in this role. We’re especially interested in candidates who have demonstrated experience in photojournalism, growing the reach and effectiveness of email newsletters in a journalistic environment, or both.
This position may be located anywhere in Vermont. This is a full-time salary-exempt position; compensation ranges from $57,000-$68,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education related to the role.
