The Development Coordinator is a motivated, organized and integral team member that provides high-level programmatic and executive support to all facets of CVMC’s philanthropy and related outreach. The Development Coordinator ensures the smooth function of all philanthropic operations, including managing gift processing, correspondence and acknowledgements, and donor communications, as well as maintaining and reporting accurate donor and department information. The position supports the development of fundraising campaigns, annual giving solicitations, and donor events. The position is on site at CVMC and requires exceptional organizational skills, superb attention to detail and deadlines, a strong ability to track and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and changing environment, and excellent oral and written communication skills for internal and external communications of all kinds. The position reports to and supports the Director of Development in all aspects of achieving the goals of the development strategy and annual plan, including increased cultivation and solicitation of philanthropic dollars, and collaborates closely with UVM Health Network development colleagues.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years relevant work experience, preferably in nonprofit fundraising; prior experience in health care or large organization a plus
- Prior experience in database management required; Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.
