Come join our team at the Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery as a Data Analyst! This is a new position for the department and will report directly to the commissioner’s office. The Data Analyst will be intricate in identifying sales trends and opportunities, determining the effectiveness of educational resources, identifying keynotes of information in Liquor and Lottery enforcement and crime data, and much more.
Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements
- Responsible professional and technical work for an enterprise department involving data collection advisement and analysis, technical project coordination, data management and production to support business functions. The incumbent must possess both business and technological skills to allow for the integration of multiple data sources to review and develop queries to support a wide spectrum of licensee and agency operations. Close collaboration with technical and administrative staff will be required. Duties are performed under the supervision of Commissioner’s office.
- Duties are performed in a standard office setting. Considerable interaction with Information Technology Section, users, and other department staff is involved.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in public policy, business, computer science or economics AND at least one (1) year of experience in database administration, computer programming, data analysis or technical project management.
OR
- Associate’s degree in public policy, business, computer science or economics AND at least two (2) years of experience in database administration, computer programming, data analysis or technical project management.
OR
- At least four (4) years of experience in database administration, computer programming, data analysis or technical project management.
