About the Job

Burlington Electric Department, the City of Burlington’s 100% renewably powered electric utility, is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations, including general accounting, grants and contracts accounting, treasury and cash management, payroll, and financial reporting and compliance. This position is a key member of BED’s leadership team and oversees the Department’s financial information and meter-to-cash systems. Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license; 8 years of financial management and accounting experience; and 3 years of management or supervisory experience.
