Land Access and Opportunity Board Facilitator

The Vermont Land Access and Opportunity Board (LAOB) is seeking to contract with a consultant to act as a meeting and engagement Facilitator for the Board beginning as soon as possible through June 30, 2023.  The facilitator will support the LAOB through the remainder of the 2023 fiscal year while it works to bring on permanent staffing.

 

Facilitor Role:

The LAOB is seeking to contract with a facilitator to work with the Board and its committees, to develop meeting agendas and facilitate meetings, support external engagement, coordinate program development, and bring opportunities, decisions and issues before the Board. The facilitator will also interface with the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board (VHCB) to support the LAOB’s administrative functions and financing.

 

Contract Details:

This contract will begin as soon as possible and run through June 30, 2023. The contract will be capped at a total $25,000.  Depending on the level of appropriations to support the LAOB in the Vermont State Fiscal 2024 budget, there may be an option for this work to continue past June 30, 2023.

 

The Land Access and Opportunity Board:

The Land Access and Opportunity Board was created to engage with Vermont organizations working on housing equity and land access “to recommend new opportunities and improve access to woodlands, farmland, and land and home ownership for Vermonters from historically marginalized or disadvantaged communities who continue to face barriers to land and home ownership.”
