Business Outreach Director
Do you love meeting new people, making connections, talking issues, valuing differences, and finding solutions? Do you enjoy reaching out to business owners and managers to schedule time to learn about their challenges and goals? Are you a connector, making referrals and introductions for mutual benefit? Can you ask these contacts for financial support to advance economic growth? If the answer is yes, we invite you to apply for the Business Outreach Director position, an exciting career opportunity with the statewide Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
In this role, you will enhance our culture, engage directly with diverse businesses and decision makers, and ask them to support our work. You will also put your community outreach, engagement, organization, and problem-solving abilities to work, serving as a liaison between businesses and the Vermont Chamber’s five-person lobbying team. You will have the opportunity to direct programs for membership recruitment and retention efforts and manage membership education and benefit programs like the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force Committee.
As a valued member of the team, you know that tracking your work in a database is also part of the job and you learn new ways to make the customer relationship management system help you, your team members, the organization, and our members become more successful.
