The University of Vermont Foundation and the University of Vermont Cancer Center are seeking an Assistant Director of Philanthropic Engagement to support their joint mission to reduce the burden of cancer in Vermont, northeastern New York, and across northing New England.
Working in collaboration with the Cancer Center’s Executive Director of Philanthropy, the Assistant Director of Philanthropic Engagement will develop and implement donor-centered programs that increase support for the cancer center by engaging patients, family, donors, and community members. They will also work to identify and cultivate individual donors at the leadership annual giving level.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a fundraising professional to support our commitment to innovative cancer research, life-saving prevention and treatment programs, public education, and scientific collaboration. We are looking for candidates who have a deep desire and ability to communicate with others, exceptional people skills, and excellent analytical skills. Experience in community engagement and fundraising is preferred.
The UVM Foundation has established a hybrid work policy that allows for a combination of on- and off-site work. However, this position will require frequent in-person presence to support community engagement and events.
