experienced Aspirations Project School Specialist. This role is integral for VSAC to fulfill our mission of providing all Vermont students with information and financial resources to reach their educational goals. The ideal candidate will work well independently; enjoy collaboration, coaching and problem solving; have a bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field; experience in working with school and college age youth; a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory background check.
This part-time (20 hours/week), 46-week/year (time off during summers and school breaks) position is instrumental in working directly with high school staff, students, communities, and families to build a school’s capacity to engage all students in post-high school planning. Instead of providing direct services to students, the Aspirations Partnership focuses on supporting a school in building systems so that all students will explore education and training options for their future.
The Aspirations Project School Specialist works with VSAC’s Aspirations Team and a school’s steering committee to implement strategies, offer on-site support, and coordination of services. The Aspirations School Specialist will work from home and in an assigned school setting in Central Vermont.
VSAC offers a dynamic, professional environment with competitive compensation and generous benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, retirement plans, tuition assistance, onsite fitness center, and more.
