About the Job

The UVM Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity (AAEO) is hiring for two full-time staff positions: AAEO Intake and Outreach Coordinator and Equal Opportunity Specialist.

The AAEO Intake and Outreach Coordinator serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator and plays a critical role in facilitating UVM’s response to reports of sexual harassment and misconduct, including relationship violence, gender-based stalking, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation.   The position facilitates support services and reporting options for UVM students, staff, and faculty.  The job duties also include an important role in overall campus planning, communication, and innovation regarding UVM’s response to issues of discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct.

The Equal Opportunity Specialist position will serve as the first point of contact for UVM community members who report instances of discrimination, harassment, or bias based on protected identities.   This role will help to facilitate follow-up steps for support and reporting, when an incident is reported.  The Equal Opportunity Specialist also assists with a range of exciting AAEO initiatives, including access for people with disabilities, equal opportunity initiatives, employee training, and affirmative action planning.

Both positions work closely with the AAEO staff team, including the Title IX Coordinator, the Director, and AAEO Investigators.   Full details and job descriptions can be found at the links above.  AAEO is especially interested in candidates with relevant experience, communication skills, and the ability to effectively work with diverse populations.  UVM provides excellent benefits, including tuition remission, and the working environment at AAEO is welcoming and flexible.   Applicants can apply via the links above, at www.uvmjobs.com.   Thank you!
