About the Job

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Saint Michael’s College has a recurring need for Adjunct Instructors to teach one or two courses per semester. Courses include precalculus, calculus, elementary statistics, mathematics for teachers, and other first year mathematics courses. Applications will be kept on file and reviewed as these openings occur.

Benefits: This temporary part-time position is not eligible for regular College provided fringe benefits.

Requirements:
Applicants should have the following:
• Minimum of Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education. Candidates with Master’s degrees in closely related fields and otherwise strong qualifications may be considered
• Skilled in teaching mathematics in a liberal arts setting and have had success in teaching a variety of undergraduate mathematics courses, particularly precalculus, calculus, elementary statistics, or other first year mathematics courses
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to students
