Job Purpose
This exciting new position supports the organization’s mission by assisting the Executive Director in all aspects of the organization’s activities. Depending on the candidates’ qualifications and experience, particular focus may be on business incubator development and implementation, acting as Regional Navigator for the Small Business Technical Assistance Exchange Program in Addison and Lamoille Counties, developing a regional economic development strategy for Addison County, and annual development of the Regional Priority Project List.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the development and implementation of a business incubator for Addison County.
• Manage business incubator clients and property.
• Serve as Regional Navigator (Addison and Lamoille Counties) for the Small Business Technical Assistance Exchange program operated by the RDCs of Vermont.
• With regional partners, manage ACEDC participation in an Economic Development District and develop a Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS).
• With regional partners, manage the annual development of a Regional Priority Project List for Addison County.
• Assist Executive Director with the following:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional partners and stakeholders.
o Convene/attend meetings with partners and stakeholders to identify priority regional economic development issues, catalogue current resources, and identify gaps and needs.
o Grant research, applications, and administration, including writing letters of support, and knowledge of funding opportunities, deadlines, eligibility requirements, appropriate applicants, match requirements, and eligible uses.
o Business and municipal outreach including site visits and consultations.
o Management of lending program and Revolving Loan Fund.
o Preparation of quarterly, periodic, and annual reports.
o Business and municipal membership development.
o Other tasks and responsibilities as required.

● Experience with federal, state, and philanthropic funding resources.
● Experience with grants research, writing, budgeting, and monitoring.
● Ability to assimilate abstract concepts, program goals and objectives and translate into concrete action plans.
● Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
● Team-management and leadership skills.
● Attention to details even under pressure.
● Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
● Ability to work independently while maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and the public.
● Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365, including Teams and SharePoint.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required and/or a minimum of three years in a similar or equivalent organization and role; higher degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in economic development or related field required.
• Demonstrated grant research and writing experience and knowledge of government and non-government funding sources preferred.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing and guiding complex projects with multiple partners and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Addison County, Vermont preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Wage or Salary
$60,000-$75,000 depending on experience
