About the Job

The Academic Success Coordinator of Tutorial Services works with faculty, academic advisors, and other campus units to determine and meet tutoring needs. Connecting students to appropriate academic support services including Subject Area and Study Skills tutoring. This position will supervise tutors and collaborate on the curriculum and delivery of student employee trainings. Assist in the development of online educational modules, resources and tools; participate in communication efforts and outreach events including tabling, workshops, presentations, among other events to promote programs and services offered. During the summer months, this position will support the coordination and execution of the TRIO Upward Bound, Summer College Readiness program which may include the coordination of community service events, as well as college and career exploration programming. Helps create and carry out the Center for Academic Success’ mission, which includes a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.

 

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in a higher education setting working directly with students or an equivalent combination of experience and or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Experience developing and implementing successful programs required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and in written. Must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and multiculturalism.
