About the Job

The Academic Success Coordinator for Academic Partnerships works in UVM’s Tutoring Center and oversees administrative and programmatic functions of the Supplemental Instruction and Academic Support Programs, supporting the academic success and retention of at-risk and underrepresented students. Collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus units to design and deliver innovative approaches to learning. Hires and supervises student employees for Supplemental Instruction and embedded Academic Support Programs. Designs, coordinates, and manages curriculum for student employee trainings. Develops educational resources and tools and facilitates trainings and workshops on academic success topics. Assesses and prepares reports on student demand and satisfaction and program effectiveness. Helps create and carry out the Center for Academic Success’ mission, which includes a strong commitment to equity and inclusion. Supervised by the Tutoring Center’s Program Director.

 

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience): Bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years of experience in a higher education setting working directly with students; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Experience developing and implementing successful programs. Must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and multiculturalism; ability to work well with people; and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
