We seek an engaged professional with expertise in speech and language pathology including pragmatic language to provide individual and small group instruction for children with communication and social understanding challenges. Our ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of research-based interventions, be able to develop individual education treatment goals for the specific needs of our students, and will successfully interface with students, parents, school teams, and other professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person SLP instruction and develop a curriculum for group or individual instruction.
- Write IEP goals and objectives, and collect and analyze data.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members and attend team meetings.
- Help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- Vermont license for Speech-language pathologist, or license eligible
Structure:
- Part-time, up to 20 hours
- Non- Exempt
- Starting at $25.18/hour

Howard Center established the Diversity Coordinator position in 2006. In 2015, Howard Center contracted with Abundant Sun to help collect and analyze demographic data. The same year, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) was integrated into the overall Strategic Plan and became accountable to the Board of Directors. In 2017, DEI was formally recognized as a department. In 2022 the organization hired its first DEI director and now runs a department comprising the director, manager, and coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
