Event Details
Montpelier, Vermont, – Rabble Rouser, a worker-owned hub for chocolate, art, community, and culture, invites Vermonters to honor Black History Month with a celebration of local Black performers and artists during an all-day function on the 18th of February.
Aligning with Rabble Rouser’s mission of “tasteful social change,” the event will begin with a photo-story project titled ‘I Am Vermont Too’ providing an opportunity for reflection in the community around perpetuating racial stereotypes. This will be followed by incredible performances from artists including Khalilah Rose, Freedom seeds, Rajnii Eddins, and a showcase from one of the best black-owned jewelry brands in Vermont: SoulSimone. Guests can also indulge in Colombian food with a Caribbean flare while listening to live music. While the event will be free for the BIPOC attendees, non-BIPOC folks are encouraged to donate.
