VT Symphony Presents: Carmina Burana & Kauyamari

VT Symphony’s 2025/26 season finale begins with Grammy Award-winning composer Gabriela Ortiz’ piece exploring her Mexican heritage: Kauyamari, or “blue deer,” a spiritual guide transformed through an extended pilgrimage. Carl Orff’s epic work Carmina Burana follows, featuring South African soprano Goitsemang Lehoybe, tenor Brian Giebler, baritone Troy Cook, the VSO orchestra and adult and youth choirs.
