VT Nonprofits and Immigration Enforcement: How Your Organization Can Respond – Common Good Vermont

April 9 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Common Good Vermont and the Nonprofit Legal Hub invite nonprofit leaders to a practical conversation about building policies and procedures that actually work in real organizations. This session blends legal frameworks, peer wisdom, and hands‑on discussion so you leave feeling more confident, more informed, and more connected.
Policies: The session opens with an accessible overview of policy essentials: What should a strong policy include? How is it structured? We will share examples that you can adapt.
Peer Panel: Real Stories, Real Lessons: A panel of nonprofit leaders shares candid insights from their own policy journeys—what they’ve written, the advice they received, what implementation looked like, and what surprised them along the way. They’ll reflect on how staff responded, what worked well, and what they might approach differently next time. Their experiences offer practical, relatable guidance for organizations of all sizes.
Conversation Woven Throughout: Questions and dialogue will happen throughout the session to create space for participants to explore challenges, compare approaches, and learn from one another.
This session is designed for nonprofit leadership and board members.
