An Inclusive Voice is a Multicultural Voice Lecture by Adriana Sanchez-Gutierrez PhD

An Inclusive Voice is a Multicultural Voice

February 19 @ 5:30 pm 6:30 pm

Join us for a lecture on the importance of multiculturalism and inclusivity from Adriana Sanchez-Gutierrez, PhD on Thursday, February 19th, 5:30-6:30pm in the library’s Community Room.

During these challenging times, the deep connection between inclusion and multiculturalism shapes the ways we communicate, teach, and engage with one another. An inclusive voice goes beyond simply acknowledging difference; it actively values diverse languages, histories, and ways of knowing how essential to collective understanding. Drawing on community-based experiences, education, and cultural expression, this presentation explores how multicultural voices challenge dominant narratives and help create more equitable spaces for dialogue. By emphasizing the importance of listening, representation, and linguistic and cultural diversity, the talk invites participants to reflect on how embracing multiple voices strengthens communities, fosters a sense of belonging, and promotes both social and intellectual growth.
