17th Annual Child Haven Indian (CHI) Dinner & Sari Fashion Show

November 1, 2025 @ 5:00 pm
CHI raises funds in Canada and the US to provide shelter, healthy food, access to clean water, medical care, education, and loving care to 1,300 children in South Asia whose families have been assaulted by poor working conditions, domestic violence, military occupation, climate change and more.
In November, we will be having a fundraiser and gathering for CHI where there will be Indian food, South Asian treasures for purchase, and good company. It’s been an event historically attended by mostly white people, but it’s also been a good opportunity to meet South Asians that come out of the wood works to find each other, provide reparations to the global south and celebrate their culture in the community. It would be such a pleasure to grow South Asian attendance at this event as well as other Vermonters of color, and so I wanted to share it with everyone in the Liberation Ecosystem network.
The dinner will take place on Saturday November 1st at Hazen Union High School in Hardwick, VT, with doors opening at 5 PM. If you can’t make it then, there will also be an opportunity to drop by the same location on Sunday November 2nd from 10 AM to 2 PM to purchase extra Indian food and chai, shop for gifts, and learn more about Child Haven.
If you’re interested in coming, you can purchase tickets HERE and also check-out the poster below to get more involved!
